Grief & the Holidays: A Gentle Workshop for Healing on BLUE CHRISTMAS

The holiday season is often associated with joy, togetherness, and celebration. But for many, it can be a painful reminder of loss—whether it’s the passing of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or a personal transition that has left a void. Grief doesn’t follow a schedule, and the contrast between festive cheer and deep sorrow can feel overwhelming.

This 120-minute workshop is a space for those who are experiencing loss to find connection, reflection, and support. Through gentle movement, breathing practices, and guided journaling, we will explore the relationship between yoga and grief, allowing ourselves to sit with our emotions rather than suppress them.

Why Yoga & Grief?

Yoga teaches us that everything in life is interconnected—including loss and renewal. In many traditions, death is seen as a transformation rather than an end. Through movement and breathwork, we can learn to release stored emotions, create space for healing, and reconnect with ourselves in the present moment.

This session is designed for everybody—no prior yoga experience is necessary. Whether your loss is recent or something you’ve carried for years, you are welcome here.

What to Expect:

  • Gentle yoga & breathwork to soothe the nervous system
  • Guided journaling to help process emotions
  • A safe and supportive space to share or simply be present
  • Techniques for navigating grief, especially during the holidays

What to Bring:

  • Warm, cozy clothes to stay comfortable
  • A pen and a journal for writing exercises
