Welcome, 2025! ✨ Last week, I couldn’t make it Welcome, 2025! ✨ Last week, I couldn’t make it to my mat because my sweet dog, Mandi, wasn’t feeling well. Taking care of him was my priority, but I truly missed my practice. Today, I finally rolled out my mat for my first session of the year, and it felt amazing to reconnect. It’s a reminder of how much I value this time for myself especially body, mind, and soul. Here’s to a year of balance, reconnect, and self-love. 🧘‍♀️
This past week, I had the honor of hosting my firs This past week, I had the honor of hosting my first grief workshop, where ten beautiful souls came together to share space and healing. We explored meditation, trataka, pranayama - bhramari, shake and progressive relaxation, 5 mins hold yin yoga poses and yoga techniques to calm the mind and connect with the body. Together, we reflected on Patanjali’s Sutras, particularly the concept of vrittis (fluctuations of the mind), and found solace in the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, especially the verse 2:27.

This journey has been deeply personal for me. I’ve been thinking about my mom all week, feeling her presence and pride with every step.

A heartfelt thank you to Jen for welcoming us at White Buffalo @whitebuffaloyoga , and to everyone who attended. Your openness and connection made this gathering so special. Here’s to honoring our grief and embracing our shared humanity.

My new favorite phrase from Sharath Ji is “secon My new favorite phrase from Sharath Ji is “second-day practice.” If you learn a new technique, be sure to practice the same the following day. And you have a chance to learn new things every day, every minute, and every second. ☺️ It’s not just yoga on the mat; it’s starting there.
That’s how we put beads to beads to our beautiful 📿.

I am usually have those moments when something is I am usually have those moments when something is out of my control as everyone else, but I try not to stuck.
I celebrated my first year anniversary of my Mysore practice with injury and back pain. 🫡🤸‍♀️
But what I see now, what I learned about that. How I treat myself when I’m in my out of control life.
So of course in my control I can find how I spend my time. How I speak to myself, how I speak to the others. How I set my boundaries and how I act. How I think about things, how I feel and handle challenges of my life.
It really doesn't matter who I am if I don’t have respect. My teacher sent me a message after I was only just showing up twice a week. Ahimsa and Satya goes hand in hand. It’s true, and yeah think about that for a moment.

See you on the mat, less phone more life.

Time. Fall can be challenging for all of us. How Time.

Fall can be challenging for all of us. How the leaves turn yellow or red and then fall with their heaviness to the ground and turn brown. Our colors also change over time.
We spent our monthly women’s circle time with a fantastic meditation yesterday. Before the meditation, we had a kriya in standing. I imagined myself as a tall redwood tree. We inhale with a three-part inhale with our teeth sealed but with an open mouth. Then we raised our arms to the sky and did seven circles while holding our breath, then slowly exhaled from the mouth open but sealed teeth.
After seven circles, we sat in a cross-legged seated meditation.
For me, connection with other women is essential. I did not know until I moved here to the US how deeply I immersed my world with my family members and the women around me.
My best friend told me something that stayed in my brain for a while this week. I miss my mother, and after one year without her, I realized something. I didn’t know how deeply I missed her. I didn’t really think it abnormal, but back to the topic, my friend told me she was thinking about how deeply I miss my mom because I could speak with her about my problems, and she always held my hand and led me to find my way to figure it out.
I miss that guiding, a higher power of knowledge to see everything. I became quieter but am still searching for verbal guidance.
It might be something I have to find in myself.

A well-known and profound verse from the *Bhagavad A well-known and profound verse from the *Bhagavad Gita* is Chapter 2, Verse 47:

“Karmanye vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshu kadachana, Ma karma phala hetur bhur, Ma te sangostva akarmani”

Translation:
“You have a right to perform your prescribed duties, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, nor be attached to inaction.”

This verse emphasizes the importance of focusing on one’s duty without attachment to the outcomes. It teaches the practice of selfless action and is central to the concept of *karma yoga*, which could resonate with your yoga practice as well.

See you at @whitebuffaloyoga every Wednesday at 6:30 - before coffee. ☺️

🪔 In this morning I had a chance to practice he 🪔 In this morning I had a chance to practice here in this beautiful Temple.

I follow @eddiestern for a long time, way earlier than my ashtanga mysore practice started. Read his book - One Simple Thing - and I loved it. I recommend for anyone. Because that book was the first about yoga which is not “ the wrong concept” or “basic western” and seriously no bullshiting easy to understand, but authentic.

Yoga is community never forget and that community brought me here. I wouldn’t think so 10 years ago I’d go and practice on my holiday.

Learnt new things and listen, hear, feel but first of all enjoy moments. 🔥

I really try to see the middle path, and I always step back on my mat. And just see myself from out of the box. Over analyzing, overdoing something is always a sign. For me is more often, so step back. Enjoy the slow life, practice and observe. That’s my task. Less 🔥.
Even when is hard. See you Ann Arbor tomorrow. After these crazy days. Same track brings me back to the middle path.

I will just get myself together.🧚🏼 It is inv I will just get myself together.🧚🏼 It is involves a combination of physical, mental, and emotional steps.
Here are my special 4. 👁️
🫀 Emotional balance - journal, books, connections, spending quality time with my hubby and @mandarin_dachshund
🫁 Physical wellbeing - walk, asana, exercise, taking care of my human body, cooking good food, feeding myself with nutritionally healthy meals
🧠 Mental clarity - pranayama, dharana practices, drawing
🙏🏻 Specific activities in the nature - kayaking, swimming

I’m homesick, it’s hard sometimes still just live in another country which is totally opposite to my culture, but it’s okay to feel lonely, abandoned and sad. 🙆🏼‍♀️ Just not being attached to the past is the hardest part.
